California Marriage Amendment Challenged

with Orlean Koehle, President of California Eagle Forum. Voters passed the Prop 8 Marriage Amendment to California's state Constitution, sealing marriage as between one man and one woman in the Golden State. Gay activists are challenging it in court. Can they overturn it?

Thousands of homosexuals marched in major cities this past weekend against laws passed in California, Arizona and Florida regarding gay marriage. Police had to rescue Christians from a mob in San Francisco's Castro district. A church in Michigan was attacked during Sunday service by gay activists which stormed the pulpit, shouting "being gay is okay." Owners who donated to Yes on Prop 8 in California are being boycotted by gay protesters. And more.

The Assault on Sarah Palin Continues
by Sharon Hughes

The things said about Sarah Palin by nameless staffers in the McCain camp, and being reported by the media, including Carl Cameron of FOX News which was very disappointing, about her knowledge, tempernament, being a shopoholic, etc., are rumors by those who care only about themselves.

This kind of thing happens all too often in campaigns. I know. When my husband, Duane, ran for U.S. Congress and lost the last time we experienced the same thing from one person on his staff who, instead of pulling 100% with the candidate, turned and created dissent in the camp. The things said were untrue, and was the fruit of those who couldn't handle losing, and wanted to cover their own backs by trying to fix blame on others. I am certain this is what is happening with these few (how many are they? we don't know, could be one instigator) McCain staffers.

I wouldn't be surprised if amongst these nameless cowards is found a plant, or at least an idealogue who took the job and ended up sabatoging the effort, ie  the handling of her with the press. Or are purposely working to prevent her from running again in the future.

Time will tell, if 'fair and balanced' reporters will look for the truth. FNC's Greta van Susteran has sought to do that by talking to other staffers in the McCain camp who said the rumors are false, and in her post-election interview with Sarah Palin. (which will re-air this weekend on FOX News)

Following that interview, in response to Greta's question about 2012 - would she run? - and Sarah Palin said that for her it was a matter of faith and if she felt doors open she would go through them, MSNBC's Chris Matthews ranted the next day on his show saying such comments were "distrubing" and "dangerous." And there's more, which we talked about on last Wednesday's show.

Don't believe the rumors. Believe what those who know Sarah Palin, those who have worked with her, including John and Cindy McCain, have said. Remember, she has an 80% approval rating in her own state of Alaska, and is the most popular governor (pre-election) in the United States.
